Emma Corrin certainly knows how to make a statement. The actor arrived at the 2021 Emmy Awards wearing a monochrome outfit (which looks beige in some lights and yellow in others), complete with a matching hat and fingerless, elbow-length gloves. Corrin paired the strapless custom Miu Miu gown with black, talon-like fingernails and a clean makeup look. The unusual outfit is sure to stir conversation.

Corrin attended the Emmy Awards celebration at members' club Soho House in London, as the awards show itself occurred at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles, California. They were nominated in the Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series for their role as Princess Diana in The Crown (ultimately, Olivia Colman, who played Queen Elizabeth II in seasons 3 and 4 of The Crown, won the award). Last year, Corrin won a Golden Globe award for the same role in the Actress in a TV Drama Series category.

The Crown was nominated for a whopping 24 awards and ultimately won in the Outstanding Drama Series category. It was tied with The Mandalorian for the most nominations this year. Corrin's counterpart, Josh O'Connor, was also nominated and won the Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series award for his role playing Prince Charles.

In Corrin's Golden Globes speech last year, the actor made sure to thank the woman who inspired the role — Princess Diana.

"Most of all, thank you so much to Diana," Corrin said. "You have taught me compassion and empathy beyond any measure that I could ever imagine, and on behalf of everyone who remembers you so [unclear] and passionately in our hearts. Thank you."
